Advice on this Gen2 Please?

Sorry for the poor spelling, i was typing while on the phone! :D
The advert offers very little in the way of detail and beyond asking for service history evidence and over rev print out is there anything else i should ask?

Car is a long way from me so would like to ask all the important questions prior to viewing / buying.

Cheers guys.

Ben

Porsche only sell that style of Fuchs to fit the widebody cars (turbo and C4/C4S/Sport Classic etc). The wheels on that car look aftermarket to me.

Looks like a nice car at the right sort of money, not many toys on it but is does have sports seats , there's no bose or sport chrono . but it has been lowered and got an aftermarket sports exhaust which saves you needing to do that, the fuch are nice I would ask if they are genuine or replicas and if the original alloys are still with the car. nice in Carrera White ,other than that only a test drive will tell you if its yours.

As its not from a known porsche specialist I would pay for an indipendant PPI :thumb: :thumb:

Also ask some of the Essex forum members if they know the dealer as the other stock are not prestige marques so it seems odd that its there , maybe a very good reason but worth finding out how come they have got it .

:agree:

Looks nice. Priced about right.

PSE, Sports seats and manual. What's not to like. If a PPI checks out then even better. Good luck!

Nice

'PSE, Sports seats and manual. What's not to like.' - agree with the previous.

All down to history of vehicle being cosha and complete, scrutiny of the car on close inspection and of course the test drive.
May be worth checking if the garage will provide an underwritten warranty for 12 months.
Would also advise asking for approval of on a specialist PPI or could you/they drive it to the nearest specialist for an evaluation.

I did want one in white when I was looking but they are quite scarce - nice.

Do not know about the wheels and not really to my taste - had them on my 944 Turbo in the 1980s, they are not welded on so no matter and plenty of lovely ones to choose from. If they float your boat what the heck - have fun. :D

Sure you know what you are doing you have had them before.
All the best
Glen

Looks very"‹ nice, but it bugs me when someone is selling a £40k car and doesn't bother to clean it properly.. Just look at the interior shot from drivers side!

If the spec is right, get a PPI done. That's the only surefire way of seeing what it's like underneath the bodywork is an inspection unless you know 911s inside out. I almost got burned with a 997.2, best £280 I ever spent that PPI. Good luck

Ben, you always run the risk of losing any car that you highlight on a forum! Go underground for a while and do your homework before getting a PPI done. You can then post pictures of your nice new motor on the forum with the knowledge that it is a good one :thumb:

Plenty about Ben. What's meant to be will be :thumb:

I believe not - there is an ET67 rear for narrow bodied cars in the tequipment range (99736216357, though it is as far as I know retrofit only - it wasn't a factory option actually on a car from new so you are still sort of half right).
