Hi guys
Wondered if you could help me?
I MAY be going to view a 997.1 over the weekend that's had an engine block change.

What's the situation with the DVLA docs in terms of is there a legal requirement to update the V5 so numbers match?

Also, does anyone the process and how difficult this is?
Anything else to consider?

Thanks in advance
Adam

A couple of weeks ago when our XF was done 'Guy Salmon Jaguar' gave me a letter to send to the DVLA along with my V5 stating that they had fitted a new engine and gave the engine number.

They said that was all I had to do.

You've just reminded me to send it off.

The biggie is the VIN..In the grand scale of things the engine number is irrelevant!..at least in the eyes of DVLA!!!

Thanks guys, sounds like I need to get the garage that did the engine swap to put it i writing, then I can get V5 changed.
Just really wanted to make sure I wasnt missing something :thumb:
