So i went to Terminal Velocity 6 this weekend and OMG was it windy! We had headwinds of approx 20 / 25mph which unfortunatly affected everyones times so only a couple of cars exceeded the magic 200mph!
I actually did better than i thought i would as i felt the car didn't perform well at all at the last vmax200 event and we suspected it had a minor boost leak but i was unable to get it fully checked in time. At TV6 however after my first run we immediately checked the logs and they showed a clean bill of health and it performed as expected... strange but good news anyway...
Due to the headwind though times were down approx 10mph on last year, check out the difference in 0 - 300kph times, it really did make quite a difference!
This was last year at TV5
And this was yesterday at TV6
So as you can see quite a bit slower with the headwind :nooo:
I did 5 runs in total with the best one being 196mph, in fact i did 2 at 196mph and both times with a passenger so i may have been able to squeeze an extra 1 or 2mph out of it without them had i kicked them out , i was also on standard Shell vpower fuel so next time i'm tempted to take it to the next level and try racing fuel i think as a lot of the other guys there were using it... That said my biggest limitation is my standard coolers, they're really holding me back and need upgrading asap...
All in all a really good day, met some really great guys...
Here are a couple of snaps i took of Team ESMotor and also a video of one of my runs from one of the spectators, you may recognise the other car i was running alongside, nice to finally chat to you IMI
