OPC service & corrosion on steering rack

What state are your pipes actually in?

Have you looked at them - is it a bit of surface rust or are they about to fall apart?



Did the work include the lines from the back of the car, as they come as one part and you would be lucky to get them out of the rack without destroying them. They can fixed with fittings from a hydraulic hose supplier.
 
Rack

Had OPC flag this repair on mine. Took it to a local indie a few months later. They cleaned up the metal ends, but some wax oil on them. Two years later,still fine.

Per previous post, have a look at them and decide whether they are on their last legs. Probably just some surface corrosion.
