997.1T manuals appear to be on the rise again!

I think the 997.2 turbo is too. I noticed in Total 911 magazine this month that the little data tag attached to the model has gone green. Meaning they've gone up.

Great write up/article on the 997.2 turbo btw.

Yes- I thought Total 911 mag was good this month.....the 997.2 turbo featured is owned by forum regular JCX 👍.....
As for this thread imho it's a no brainier and my cash would go on a 997 every time- although £69k seems a bit steep....

I quite liked the 997.1 v 991 turbo S article... manual gen 1 for weekend fun... slightly biased though.....

Have you got a link to the article, I might have to buy this for my plane trip tomorrow if not.

I haven't just the normal paper copies.

Slightly different view, I've got a 997 gen 2 C2 and drove a 991 C2s on a Porsche experience day at the silverstone OPC. I went there expecting to come away wanting an upgrade but left thinking that the 991 C2s was nice, but no more fun (which is why we drive a Porsche :) ). The only benefit to me was a newer car, so if it's the fun you want I'd go for a 997 turbo every day.

Nice decision you to have to make and either way I don't think it will be a bad one :)

Investment wise and fun = 997 turbo,
Road presence, practicality, running costs and looks 991S
