Well not quite 'found' but kept in a barn for a fair few years while my friend carried out a major building project.
He has owned the car since 2001 and now he has a garage again he wants me to give his 993 Cab a full refurbishment.

I thought it would be of interest to show what an improvement could be made.

I've got my work cut out on this one but as a big 993 fan I know it will be worth it 8)

Note. It will not be going up for sale afterwards.

Good lord! Good luck!

Was this part of Saddam's stash? Looks like a great project.

Come up with a heart wrenching tale of woe and sadness. Contact Car SOS. Sit back, watch it get restored for free :dont know:

A big tin of elbow grease on order then?!

The interior looks worse than the exterior. Did he leave it stored with the roof down?

Watching with interest to see how this shapes up. :thumb:

....... that car need some serious TLC ...... good luck.

What's the process for an engine that's been sitting that long.

Change oil/filters, check/change plugs, hand turn while plugs are out for a few revolutions, remove DME relay and spin on the starter till oil pressure builds??

What's the consensus?

Good luck with the refurb

I almost thought this was going to be a 'George Eaton' car but you've actually seen it

Speak to an expert before you attempt to start it :thumb:

ENGINE BAY

Starting with the dirtiest bits, first up is the engine bay.

Copious amounts of Truck Wash then a damn good go with the pressure washer ... Er no!

Careful application of All Purpose Cleaner (APC) working small areas at a time, cold water rinse, blow dried and then ACF50 applied to engine bay and electrical connections.

Fantastic result on the engine bay. What's next? I love watching these projects. :thumb:

Blimey ....... I thought my engine bay was pretty clean .......

p.s. Have to ask ....... how long did that take to do?

The interior should be a challenge......
