They really are a beautiful thing. |
I agree 100%..... My thoughts exactly......

Thank you everyone
Can't stop smiling, couldn't use it on the Saturday I collected it, drove it 30 miles home and straight in to the garage (just about fitted, It's considerable wider then my 997)..
So was itching to use it yesterday and boy did I, I must have driven 200 miles, and not actually went anywhere, took a few friends out, my other half and my 8 month old.. Most sensible I had driven all day.
It's licence loosing in under 3 seconds .
Is that Sapphire blue? - Yes
I imagine the breaking in miles will be agony! - Someone else had this pleasure/pain, it isn't new, 3 years old with only 7800miles _________________ 991 Turbo S

Congrats, looks fantastic.
What are you initial thought with regards to the difference in performance, stopping power and handling compared with the 997.2 turbo? _________________ 997.2 turbo

Thank you,
Initial thoughts in power is a noticeable increase in performance but not night and day.. It's smoother the gear change is nicer. I really like the 4 wheel steering, better exhaust sound, love the after run sound. The interior is night and day improvement as are the seats. The active cruise is brilliant.
Brakes seem sharper, but slightly less linear, but this could be due to mileage difference.
The 997 is a great car in every aspect and the 991 for me improves on this.
As I drive it more I'm sure to have more thoughts as this is based on my 1st and only tank of juice so far. _________________ 991 Turbo S

The thing I don't like about the 991s is the huge Porsche legend and model descriptions on the back; some are not too bad but others really detract from the look of the back of the car. Flame suit on, only saying......

The normal Turbo wheels were a no-cost option on the Turbo S for those who didn't like the centre-locks and/or the design.

Congrats! Now that is a nice colour! What did they give you for your 996.3 if you don't mind me asking and what was the mileage on the 997.. I may be thinking along the same lines in the next 12months...

Stunning colour. I am guessing , considering this & your "daily", that you are a fan of acceleration (wrong emotion there, not too much "shifting" required with that pair of time warpers. ) _________________ 996turbo , 9e38 with bigger TB, switchable 9e exhaust (used only in loud) soldered coolant pipes, OEM GT2 front PU, LHD, in the best colour (seal grey )

Thank you everyone , been thoroughly enjoying it and making good use of this mild weather we've been having..
Surprisingly how low MPG you can get if you try not even hard.

Thank you, Yes I do have an addiction to acceleration, I haven't found a help group for this, I would own a bike if it wasn't for the fact I'd probably kill myself. _________________ 991 Turbo S

Fantastic. The colour I could not overlooked in the showroom to be honest. But now I've seen yours I'm really pleased I have as it's superb. Usually we tend to see them in white, black or a tone of grey. The carbon calipers look really good against the blue.
Those S wheels I must add are my favorite, I just like the sharpness look of them. Ticks all the boxes aesthetically in my opinion. _________________ History:
