It appears that Porsche are considering a shared modular platform that could be shared with VW Group stablemates, Lamborghini and Audi. I feel if the chassis is designed to be modular unfortunately the essence of the Porsche 911 will be diluted and lost. I can only pray the sources are incorrect, the 911 using a shared chassis will be its downfall.
