The 'car&classic' or 'is that a yellow Allegro' thread

Is the sport the v8 one?

Mo knowledge of those cars at all. Apart from the fact that they look awesome and their wheels are too small.

Do 911'ers do rat look? I would love to turn up to pcgb events in it.

I think it needs to be an earlier car to get away with the Rat Look. But then of course, all those are either restored or being restored back to their original showroom shine.

Shame. Wouldn't have happened a few years ago. I spent the 80's driving round London in a fairly ratty metallic blue 1973 911 2.4S. I think I got £8000 for it when sold.

Oh Gawd, that's nearly 40 years ago.

Yup, that one is a 4.4 V8, plus the usual BMW Sport bits The wheels do look small, but that was the days when chassis engineers determined the wheel size, not the marketing dept!

There is also the hallowed 850CSi manual, an M engined beauty. Pretty rare though.

I've always fancied one of those weird Renault Alpines.

The little ones are too costly and the GTA is too new, but the A310's are cool. This one needs a little work, but I like it at £15k

Cool car... looks incredibly exotic.

My entry for today... carbon body and chassis, less than 50 built and an exhaust note that could raise the dead!

I've only ever seen one of these in real life. They really are cool things.
