Dansk Super Sound

old boxes

and if anybody is interested i have the old system back in the garage - so open to offers if you need a std solution

I need a solution. My DANSK super sound only lasted just over 2 years :nooo:

take it you had no reply to your letter then Alex?

Just going through the motions. Don't worry - the outcome will be all over the internet :cap:

Watch this space!!

You went super sound over the dansk sport then? Curious as to your thoughts on the normal sports.

still nothing alex?

i'm now booked in to have the 2nd flexi joint on mine fixed!
the one side went straight after fitting which i assumed was down to my heavy handedness during fitting but now the other side is split too!
the flexi joints on these really are a crap design :frustrated:

Not yet. Dansk are waiting to hear back from their uk distributor.

Are you saying the Dansk SS boxes be avoided due to poor manufacturing, or was it a bad batch

:?:

Pass. All I know is one of mine sounds awful and as yet I'm not having much joy resolving the issue.

I just think the flexi joint design is poor
And on booking into the closest specialist to where I'm working (Steve bull in devizes) they said that they also have a guy booked in on Friday with a dansk split flexi joint too

Would be interested to hear any further updates on this (or other people's Dansk systems)

Until recently I was under the impression that they were of very good quality (ie OE standard) and they seem to be one of the most popular aftermarket exhausts for the Carrera 996?

Other than OE Porsche, what would be the best alternative?

Is it just a particular model/type of Dansk exhausts or all variants that are having issues?

Thanks,

Will

I'll be doing a full write-up on my experience once there's a conclusion.

.......and I'll be naming names!!
