Advice needed; modified 991.1 back to OEM

New porsche 20" classic wheels on (bought someone's spare winter set which were basically brand spanking new) ☺️ Body kit sold and car booked in for mid Jan to revert back to stock. Will have managed to cover all expenses if it runs smoothly 🎉

Attached is a picture of my new wheels being calibrated 👯😎😈👅

This could be a spin off series 'Supercar SOS'

:floor:

Definitely remove the side cheeks/skirts, and go back to the standard rear lower bumper valence.

P.S. could just about live with the front end as it is

Car starting to take shape :)

Certainly going the right way. :thumb:

Any idea yet of the final cost to do the conversion ?

Selling any of the bits to offset the cost ?

bumpers have so many parts and locating them all has been hit and miss price wise.

The rear grill (engine cover) has been the biggest problem - it has an underside and an oversize. Those two pieces are costing in excess of £700 alone new from porsche.

I sold the bidy kid including wheels for £4,700 in Ebay

The new wheels cost £1750 and so far the work carried out is costing somewhere in the region of £3k

So barring further problems, I'll be quits - better than I expected!

All done :worship: cost me £500. Exstatic with the result 🎉😎

Full on congratulations.
Great to see the car restored. Looks superb.

+1 Porsche rescued! Congrats on the purchase and the transformation, looks a LOT better now :)

Looks so much better and a result with the cost to fix it

An absolutely superb OEM result. :thumb:

And to do it all for £500 is as good as Mike Brewer and Edd China could do on Wheeler Dealers.

Did you have the rear quarters painted? Or was the 3.5k just for replacing parts?

Well done Banderras ... A good rescue ....it took heart and courage to buy that one as it was .... You did well to get 4.7k for the kit on e bay ..!

The car looks far better stock ......

Now you can start modding it a bit!!

Again...

Well done ..!
