Christmas came early...

Some pictures today after picking up from OPC West Byfleet.

Also, whilst I had the tools out I fitted a Manthey carbon bonnet I bought recently. It's painted basalt black with paint protection but the paint has bubbled slightly so will get a respray when I also do the front bumper.

V nice, v nice. Did you really need west byfleet to change the wheel s for you?

Ive been spending money on the M :boxin:

Btw, must be oh so cool having a garrige now :thumb:

The car looks fantastic....just stay away from any curbs !. :thumb:

Very nice indeed. The gold inserts set it off beautifully even if for some reason when I see these wheels they remind me a little of gold Rolex ie a little over the top. However they always cut it and just seem right.

Ti nuts by chance.....

What are the others that you are selling like. I realize they are already spoken for. Any pictures of them on the car??

They changed the rubber, decided to entrust that to an OPC rather than Kwik Fit. When are you buying that tyre changing machine?

Sadly not my garage, the Folks, it's where I keep spare wheels :D

Ti by Tikore, I know many dislike the idea but they are as fresh and clean now as when I bought them, no rust, no hassle, and things of beauty. Got a good deal on them also via Rennlist.

On the BBS LM, centres were red and never really liked it so had them powder coated back to BBS gold. Split the rims, sent the centres off and then put back together (19 ft.lbs. and blue loctite if you're wondering).

and comparison, not really much in it, apart from weight...

Err no, not a lot in that. The weight saving is nice though. I really notice it when i have the Oz ones fitted to the 997.

I like the new ones, apart from the faux centre lock cap thingy. No tyre machine yet, if i had the space id have one, they're cheap on the bay too.

No garridge at the new pad then?

I'm looking forward to seeing the car next week....

In the flesh the E88 is much nicer (IMHO) with depth to face curve and the spoke detail with shaved sides.
I was on the fence with the centre caps but went for them anyway. Giving it a while to make mind up.

No garage at the new place, houses with garages round here start around £400k more.

Yep, the E88 is the real deal, nice rim and class.

Very cool Stu :thumb: Happy Crimbo! :)

Stu, so I'm curious about those ti bolts... Based on what I've read, they amount to a total weight saving of approx 750g per corner when you take the multiple rotational mass into account - is that what you calculated too roughly when you researched this? (Assuming you did!)
