Advice needed; modified 991.1 back to OEM

No need for specifics, but did you pay a reasonable amount less for it than a standard unmolested car?

It'll be good to see the 'after' pics!

I paid a little under market value - If I can recoup the costs then it would have been a successful experiment and I will be left with a very nice car indeed :)

Who owned it previously? Proof that money and taste rarely go hand in hand.:yuk:

I need some mind bleach to cleanse my memory. :nurse:

Sweet Jesus!

Just received the car - it's in showroom condition all around - absolutely pristine!

Bonuses include full clear bra (wings and nose)

And 18 way seats (immaculate) I thought it had 4 way!

I've been down to my local Porsche specialist and they will come back to me this weekend with a quote to restore this beauty....

They loved it!

What you drove it?... In daylight?

Only joshing mate! Congrats on your purchase and keep us posted on the transformation.

In all fairness, it received more attention than I had envisaged

I can see why there is a market for this stuff

As long as the maths adds up financially then I think this is a great idea. That will be stunning when you've finished with it. I admire your out of the box thinking.

To be fair, I'm warming to it with the bodykit.

Probably makes me a bad person.

To be fair the only part I really dislike are the rear quarters. They look very 'stuck' on to me.

It looks like the result of a drunken one night stand between a porsche and a modern day transformer toy.

How much did the maniac spend on that kit? Any ideas?

Personally ,I would lose the side rockers as they are ugly with that rear qtr. paint the rest body colour to lose the strange two tone supra look and it would look quite nice and different . But then I like mods, but they should sell easily as there are as many guys that like different/personal as there are purists. good luck getting it how you want it for you to enjoy. :thumb:

It should be easy enough to go back to stock, but you'll just have to see what that kit goes for on ebay (maybe half the original cost?), or maybe some other 991 forum, hopefully you'll be able to break even. And then start the proper mods...
