My 1998 Boxster 2.5 project begins...

The wheels fill the arches nicely.

Fantastic project, reminds me of my first Porsche which was a silver version. Still miss it even though I now have a 996T. Tempted to buy another to use alongside it.

Love it :worship:

100% agree on the paddles. I'm a huge tiptronic fan now. It's such a capable all round set up with those added

I've just been shopping to Sainsbury's and walking to my car I couldn't believe the visual transformation the wheels have made.. I had to take a picture. :Dance-Tap:

Recently the starter motor has spun the engine over quickly when cold but very slowly when the engine is hot to the point that sometimes it has taken two attempts to start which is not ideal with an auto!
I suspected a faulty starter but I did remember the previous owner saying that the battery was over 5 years old so out of policy I replaced that today and thankfully the hot start issue has been resolved for the princely sum of £66. :thumb:

Today I have also fitted Porsche decals to the calipers to improve the look somewhat.

Today I bought some upgraded headlamp bulbs from Halfords based purely on the fact that I had a £10 gift card.
These GE bulbs are listed at a staggering £22 each but they are on offer for buy one get one "free" 🙄
So with the gift card they were £12.
Definitely whiter than the original bulbs and just about worth the £12 I paid.

In preparation for the upcoming trip to Dinslaken I have been doing a couple of jobs on the boxster.

The aircon has not really worked at all in the time that I have owned the car so last week I had it regassed at Kwikfit.
It was icy cold for four days and then it stopped working.
Kwik fit use a dye in the gas so that any leaks are easily traceable and a look through the front pu showed traces of dye on the n/s condenser so I ordered these.

Kwik fit will regas free of charge and in the words of the branch manager "if you tire of tracing leaks then we will refund your money"
You cant say fairer than that.
