SC Diff Flange Oil Leak - NOW SORTED

Following a complete engine rebuild on my 1980 SC I replenished the gearbox oil (filled to the correct level) but on the first trial run had a massive oil leak from the gearbox near side drive shaft flange seal, I assumed the seal had hardened with age so have changed both drive shaft seals but still have a major leak from the near side flange.

The flange seal track looked in good condition but there was some very minor lift in both flanges, is it possible the diff bearings need replacing? Can these be changed while in the car or does the gearbox need to come out?

Appreciate any advice you can give,
Cheers
Steve

Now sorted as I found the breather vent was pointing the wrong way allowing the crown wheel to throw the oil straight out of the breather vent, realigned vent towards front of car and the leak has stopped
