Have taken the cetral console out as the glove box hinges need repairing and noticed the carbon fibre appears to just be an overlay rather than 100%. Is this how they came?

Bit of a con if so. Might get it carbon dipped if so as it's all yellowed

Thanks in advance, Raoul

My Targa has factory carbon interior package and it is plastic backed with carbon overlay.

Thanks for that. Would you say yours is still black or has it gone a shade of yellowy brown?

Might just be the top layer of lacquer... maybe find some bit of inconspicuous trim and try polishing it, or even sanding it, like the headlight polishing kits.
