The 996 eBay bargain thread.

:thumb:

This thread is the best thing ever and I'm only replying so I get notifications. :D

I ordered some C4s rads from Tameside on eBay. They were listed as fitting c2 and c4 models, but of course they weren't the right size. However Kevin, refunded me fully on the originals and got me the correct hella ones for less than my specialist could.

Would definitely recommend!

Has anyone bought those wheel centres? Will they fot std 996 turbo wheels?

They do different diameter centre caps. Need to measure your own first and get the same. They fit my winter Turbo alloys so I guess they'd be same for the C4S and hollow spoke alloys.

Brilliant thread Alex - as ever, top man

Great thread Alex! Just what we need to beat the Porsche tax and run these cars on a sensible budget.

I can't seem to post a link from my eBay app so I'll have to state item number instead. For anyone not clued up on the bay of E, just paste it into the search bar on eBay.

Alex, I see your £233 clutch kit and I raise you..
the £196 clutch kit.

Just ordered a set of those £9 centre caps. Would be crazy not to have a set, even just as back ups. :thumb:

Edited to add - Anyone looking for a cheap clutch kit beware of any that are less than the one I've linked to above. They sometimes pop up for £150 but they are refurbed. That one above isn't, it's brand new as far I can tell but always worth asking the question at this price just to make sure.

My mate Craig got the best bargain. Brand new clutch kit for £90! Yep £90!
The seller then got some brand new Dansk sports boxes in. Craig paid £220 yet managed to get a set for me for just £180. I then sold my unknown used ones on eBay for £240. So swapping to brand new Dansk sports made me £60. I love it when a plan comes together.

That's good on the Dansk. I'll be looking for some soon. Do you have a link to the seller?

Can we add requests to this list :?:

Trying to find a set of cheap decat pipes for my 3.6 and I'm sure I've seen them on eBay listed alongside the cheap stainless exhaust manifolds but can't turn any up at the moment.

Stevepen, I'll find the sellers name from my receipt over weekend. He only had 8 sets and his stock seems a bit random but there's nothing to say he won't get more in.

This is great timing for me too! I've just been quoted £520 to replace only one condenser by Porsche. The condenser itself is listed at £207.25 + VAT.

Great thread, so no more eBay bargains as everyone on here will be outbidding each other! 😁 I remember the days when you could get bargains on the bay!
