2 x 996 GT3.2 on fleebay

Potentially could have histories, but more likely that there is a pretty low threshold that people are prepared to gamble on when buying one in an auction from a non-specialist... :?:

All said the market has cooled compared to last year, but while peak prices haven't fallen I think that the gamblers and speculators have dried up and there just isn't a feeding frenzy anymore.

I'd never buy a car like that on eBay. I'd find out who was selling if I was interested and then contact them offline and buy the traditional face to face way

The atlas 54 plate gets discussed on PH. Owner sold to WBAC for a stupidly good amount, they send to auction and lose a load, dealer buys and has it up for 59 and a bit. Same dealer with the ebay listing. The original owner is there to be talked to, car seems a good un.

Both the last 2 owners of the atlas one are on PH.

Shame it doesn't have buckets or I'd be going to have a look...

Interesting to see how much people would bid up to, for a car of this type, on an auction site. I wonder what the reserve price was? I'm guessing it was some way off.
Definitely a buyers market at the moment with some lovely cars to choose from...
Mine is currently for sale with Parr. The market has definitely stalled though. I would have withdrawn it, but I bought another car already so it has to go unfortunately.

I think they may have achieved more if they where without reserve. I'd have certainly bid a lot more than £42K for the Silver car but not the £65k they are asking on their website.

Did you make an offer?

Sorry, no didn't bid as I'm currently trying to buy a Mk 1 - if that deal falls through then I will be looking at other options. Just saying that if there was no reserve then I suspect the end price would have been higher.

I keep looking at your car. Best colour IMO.

Moving house in 2 weeks (hopefully) then if funds are not all eaten up I may put the Cayman R up for sale and start the GT3 hunt.

Thanks, just reduced the price to £59,995. It wants for nothing and is far better than many others I have seen on the market for more money.
Trouble is I bought another car on finance expecting the GT3 to sell quickly!
I may end up withdrawing it from sale and selling the M3 I bought instead 🙄
