They have come up in a search for a Porsche specialist and are the closest to me. Listed as VW and Porsche specialists and online reviews for vw work but I can't find anything on Porsche.

For my C2 996.

Thanks

Hi when I spoke with them about slow cranking on my 997 the garage suggested that rather than replace the entire wiring harness they would by pass the fault ,the offer of this solution just seemed a bit make do and mend ,I took my car to SCS Honiton and had a new loom fitted ,SCS only charge £55 per hour .I feel that SCS offer a Porsche dedicated service
hope this helps

Interesting, thanks. I dropped this afternoon and had a chat with Andy Levic. He seemed pleasant and confident, I have booked in for an inspection next week and will see what I find.

I would like to use Levic as its 20 minutes from home but I take your point about SCS. I will report back.

Hi Gurmot I too was tempted to go to Street but whenever I have needed advice and help, like the Saturday night I was sat outside a plush hotel and all the bags were in the frunk that would not open, I rang Stewart of SCS at home as a last resort and he told a tip that opened it phew !!! I took the car to SCS to replace the broken solenoid he refused to take any payment or a bottle of wine, IMHO that's the advantage of using a Porsche only specialist.

SCS have also fitted parts I've supplied (e.g. alternator, starter motor) and only charged me the labour. I also supply my own oil and filter when it's time for a service - and again they only charge me the labour and I get a stamp in the service book from a Porsche specialist.

My daughter purchased a Boxster that had had a clutch changed by a non-specialist garage - all the bolts fell out of the driveshaft and caused £2500 worth a damage.............. that's why I'll only ever take my Porsche to a specialist!
As Ken at 9E said to me when he picked her car up these people just don't understand Porsche and should not work on them !!! that's good enough for me
cheers MZ

Noted, thanks.

Arnie Levic identify themselves as VW, Audi and Porsche specialist and Andy (who runs it thes days) told me he looks after other 911's and he seemed to know his way around mine. It we will see.

As said, I will report back.
