Collected my 997.1 GT3 today!

wanna do a euro road trip?

how you finding no stereo? Ive got that in mine (need to supply new head unit with a power lead) and cant say im liking it tbh and im not normally a music fan

Euro trip could be good but not really able to commit to anything like that currently

I almost never used the stereo in the car, even on long trips. Unless I was mindlessly bored which is rare. So no complaints so far, it's as if I've just suddenly got more storage in the car, rather than lost anything

Having said that though, I will try and sort some kind of 'wireless' Bluetooth connection to the iPhone at some point, mainly as just a little project to do

Sorry... There's just no mature way to respond to this...

... I'm sure you'll enjoy using yours as much as I enjoy using mine!

Cup wheel and harness fitted by Matt @ PorschaCare
:thumb:

The steering wheel makes such a huge difference, I feel much more connected with what the front wheels are doing. Probably the harness too making me feel more connected to the chassis, but the wheel is a massive tactile improvement which I wasn't expecting. The car really feels more chuckable and the steering more direct

Big thank you to Nick R @ Uber9s for the bedding in masterclass on the RS29's

:worship:

Bloody hell those pads really grab you don't they... They exposed a potential hint of slidiness at the back end under heavy braking. Initial thought is the cup diff plates I had fitted by RPM couple years back, but they should be fine. The roads were ever so slightly damp which possibly had something to do with it, but something to keep an eye on

I was a little concerned the indicator stalk would be too far away due to the deep dish on the new wheel, but no issues for me in this regard

it for me every time.. :floor:

..did you sort a lift out ?

... A great many expletives accompanied my bumper removal efforts today. Rad grills going in if I ever put this all back together again!

Job done

Was a bit of a pfaff, but got the bumper on at last with the new grilles fitted. The rads weren't actually as filthy as I thought they'd be, good exercise though to get them cleaned up

On the list of to-do's is figuring out how to refurbish these splitters. They're fairly resilient but just look scruffy after a couple of years. I've lost my tow-eye cover as well might just get one of those foldable tow-eyes instead (I think it was RSS that does the ones I like)

.... Got hitched

Life is starting to get back to normal following all the madness

I have a little mod in the pipeline as a means of celebrating, hoping to report back soon-ish, as soon as I have something concrete from the supplier ... Who seem to be taking their sweet time to confirm various details ... :dont know:
