I am wondering about specing the factory installed Privacy glass, however does the factory installed glass differ to retro-fitted tinted film that can be installed at specialised installers?
I.e. is the factory installed privacy tint integral to the glass itself or is it a thin sheet of film applied over the glass from inside the car?
After viewing various Youtube videos on how the tinted film is installed to the glass is somewhat alarming such as amount of the water solution they spray inside the car and cutting the film on the glass itself.
I am aware you can get pre-cut glass film tints so you can minimise the risk of cuts/scratch's to the paintwork/glass and even the inertia trim however you still have the excessive water solution being used.
If its just a thin sheet of tinted film applied to the glass from within car, then surely it can be easy scratched as it is not as resilient to scratches than glass itself?
