They do look good.

How far forward will they slide?

How much, if you don't mind me asking?

Hi Gunner,

They slide forward quite far, I have tried to take an image for you but its quite hard to judge the space?! They are big seats and I wouldnt be able to drive with the seat full forward (but I am 6ft 4)....

The issue you will have is with the seat belt, but I guess small kids could go under this?!

If at all possible I would recommend trying to sit in a set before ordering as they are racing bucket seats.... Coming from a couple of Lotus Elises, I knew what to expect and they fit me fine. I have done a couple of long 200mile journeys in them no problem BUT they are not as comfy as OEM of course... but you really do get a lot more road feel and for me it makes the car more sports oriented...

Prices in my post here - but worth searching around in case UK prices have fallen and the £ to the € isn't great at the moment ??!!:

Thanks, slide forward looks like it could work fine.

Hmmmmm...

Quick update, think I'm going to go for the Recaro CS.

Did see these on eBay though...

Recaro SPG

If only they weren't red backed.

Seat backs are easy painted by a bodyshop.

I can heartily recommend the Recaro PP, have had a set in my 993 pretty much from Day One.. Did a 2500+ Mile RoadTrip in them last Summer..

kingroon, what side mounts & sliders are you running for a direct fit in the 993?

Recaro's "Ambla Leather" is not real leather, hence they're cheaper. :thumb:

Ambla Leather details:

RECARO Ambla Leather
Ambla is a high quality synthetic leather used on many RECARO seats. Ambla is a light grain-textured synthetic leather often used on the bolsters of many OEM and aftermarket RECARO seats.
Available in black.

Does anyone know more accurately than "a lot" how much weight is saved when moving from original sports seats to something like Recaro pp's?

Thanks, I didnt realsie this.

The red ones do look like good value

Second hand Leather PP's usually sell for £1000 to £1500 :thumb:
