It's been a long few weeks waiting since agreeing the purchase back in early march but the collection date is hopefully set for the end of this month. To say i'm excited is an understatement! Selling my much cherished viola 4S, raising additional funds and laying the foundations and picking the right time to mention to SWMBO has taken its time....

I'll update the thread with what work I've had done in due course but thought I'd post up a few of the pre purchase photos. Hope you like :)

edit due to photophucket ransom - i will work through thread redoing pics :pc:

Wow that's nice. Are you in Notts going by the user name?

Thanks Chris. Yes south notts'.

WOW, that looks beautiful :worship:

I look forward to seeing it in the flesh on the newly proposed Notts meets :thumb:

Like it?? That is pure gorgeousness :worship:

Hi James

I can see why you sold the 993 now, congratulations lovely car :thumb:

Nice, the bright colour's suit the RS in my opinion.

Where is it from?

Japan, Germany?

Again personal view, but I would ditch the airbag wheel with the buckets.

The non airbag wheel is much more tactile.

I think I just found my new idol :worship:

Thanks Kris, Tim and Apollo

James, yes it changed my mind on the 4S being a keeper. You did guess correctly what the replacement would be at the time

wpozzz99zSS, yes an unmolested C08 M002 RS from Japan. It's still checks out as original apart from the titanium exhaust, upgraded bilsteins and HID's. It's had no cage fitted, original carpets etc. I have already mapped out a few 'personal' enhancements to be done in time, the CS wheel being one and the front brake ducts being the other.

Below are a few pics of how the underneath looks now post Dry Ice (Cryo) Blasting 8)

edit to re add a various selection of pics due to photophucket pulling the links :pc: also max 10 per post limit reached

ch3tman thanks most kind.

GT4, praise indeed, thank you :salut:

goodness me - that is almost too nice to use!!

btw, what does the third picture show?

Re the upgraded Bilstein suspension - would you not be tempted to get a set of original Porsche RS shocks? They must be available and it would be putting the car closer to a factory-gate spec.

I'd also be intrigued to know how a Japan market RS compares to one for the UK or Europe.

Anyhow, that really is the nicest 'toy' I've seen for some time  :worship:

Looks incredible...where did you get the cyro drying icing done and how much is it to do? How long does it take to do?

Thanks Tim. The third pic is the rear bulk head just infront of the gearbox, you can see better on the pic below

Possibly on the original shocks but they are usually upgraded for better, that certainly was the case on my 64RS. I will investigate what version's they are. [found out since they're rebuilt original shocks]

The only difference between a C00 German car and a C08 Japan car is they tend to have the airbag option as required by law, air con due to the climate and option 912 which deletes euro id plate. Oh and the dealer fit stereo only has a narrower FM frequency range  Apart from that they are the same. They do benefit from no salt being used on the roads over there too.

Edit: the rear lights loom is reduced also for just 1 rear fog light and 1 reverse light operation & there is a temperature sensor for the catalytic converter. Plus to add image as photophucket pulled link..
