Well I am still in Germany for the next two nights, have picked up a very nasty cold maybe thanks to Highway, hope no else gets it, I have felt shoite all day but did drag myself to Classic Remise, what an amazing experince. Thanks guys for an epic trip :)

Sorry to hear you're feeling off colour. Hope you have a swift recovery and enjoy the ride home.

Now home, unpacked and missing the driving already. Having owned my car the best part of three years, I've never driven it quite like that before. Funny how a 993 is happier at 120mph than 70mph!

It really couldn't have gone better - thanks to everyone for making it so memorable and such an event - quite spectacular when you think about how far apart we all live, and how little some of use our cars. Longer and team - it was faultless, so special thanks to you. Christian, get yourself a van and come take car of all our cars

I have plenty of photos and will try and get to them later in the week....

Now, off to find a specialist who can change the oil cooler resister without removing the front PU

Back home already. Caught the 14.06.
What can I say? It was epic. Stuart and Dom-what a great idea. Longers and the gang- brilliant. Ian I will send you your satnav.
Christian, you are a top bloke for the help you gave and I really hope you get your new venture off the ground.
Phil did you manage to hit the limiter in sixth? I only managed a top speed of 136mph on the satnav- at least I hope it was mph and that the satnav did not automatically convert to kph on that side of the channel crossing. Steve, Riviera Bob, Brian and Bob, I have not laughed so much in a long long time. Trevor glad we went to Classic Remise. I would have been kicking myself if we hadn't. But to be honest everyone was great company. Hope everyone else enjoyed it as much as I did.

Ps Ian, I spoke the wife and she likes the idea of the French wine route. It will have to be in school holidays though.
Will try and sort some photos.

Good to hear you made it home in one piece :thumb:
Now, how to change your user name to PetrolHead :?: :?:

Fantastic photo of the 3 polar silvers on the move!

Stuart, it was Tony (MilSub) who had the petrol tank drama, we live in the Same town. Hopefully he will get back alright.

Back home after a great trip. When this was first mentioned 9 months ago I really was sceptical it would actually happen given some of the forum personalities. Brilliant to see you all with your cars in their native habitat.

I echo the thanks that have been said already to the instigators, organisers and our resident mechanic but thanks to all of you for the great company which made for a great trip.

Now to get booking that next trip.....

Thanks Dom ...... I reckon buy the time I come back to the UK next Sunday I should be ok ...... But until then the fine dining I had planned for my four days in France is out the window, can't taste much at all at present :-(

Finally home. 6 days, 5 countries and 1,357 miles. What an awesome euro tour that was 8)

Your mileage must have doubled Dom!

:hand:

Safely back up in the frozen north. Absolutely lashed down for the last 100miles. Least it's cleaned the car a bit! Dropped Paul off and even took a 5mile detour on some twisty back roads near home. Don't want to stop driving it now

Epic trip I'll never forget. Thanks everyone :D

Reckon I did 293 litres of fuel, so that's 21 avg MPG. Given how we were using the cars that's pretty tidy I think.

Really well orged so hats of to Longers and the team and T8 gluing it all together:worship:
