991 4S Prices/Depreciation

I already tried calling this guy and he asks me what Sports Chrono is and what PSE is. also he has no idea about launch control. not sure if he is the owner as he told me he is not much into cars. i tried calling him again and he tells me that someone has bought the car and he is waiting for money. i said i will call him tomorrow if the car is not yet sold and he is now not answering calls. He also said he is travelling to India/Pakistan this Friday so it will have to before that or after 10 days and then he is off on business outside country for sometime. sounds very fishy all of this..

It's a shame you missed this one as it looks a very nice car.

The seller story sounds dodgy but isn't necessarily so. Owners of new 911s aren't necessarily car enthusiasts and I know many that seem to spend more time out of the UK than in it.
 
Al done.. closed the deal.. should be picking up the car on Saturday.. I am super excited with my first Porsche car!!!

It is a 991 C4S with Sports Chrono, PDK, PSE, Adaptive seats, Bose, Sports steering wheel.

A few questions. any recommendations on outdoor car cover as i currently cant fit my car into a garage ?

Congrats. I'm picking mine up on Friday, basalt black with very similar spec. Enjoy!
 
not sure if this is useful or not (without detailed spec)

we are in the process of bringing one into work ( being Part exchanged against a Land rover)

63 with <20k miles, good colours, no idea of spec etc

we are giving high £60s ...no doubt soon to be seen at a local OPC for high £70's

once you add a couple £K prep, 2 year warranty, 10% margin (vat on Margin) you can see how it can get to this number......
 
I have been looking for the right 911 s4 so far there has been a necessary option for me missing from the car's spec. However I might have found the right car but there is a concern regarding the cars history. After doing a HPI check I found out that it had a previous number plate assigned to the car. Further investigation the 1st owner was Porsche UK as being a press car so quite a few journalists have driven it and it has been in at lease one track battle what I know have. The current owner has only had it for less than one year saying he wants a S4 with a PDK instead of a manual.

What is also a bit odd apparently Porsche UK decided to sell the car to a independent specialist and not via its own channels? (which I find a bit odd). I have e-mail Porsche UK concerning the cars history but as I am not the current owner will not tell me anything about the car.

Is this normal practice for Porsche UK selling their press cars to independents and knowing its history thinking its been abused and should walk away.
