Capri more expensive than a Ferrari! Who would have thought?

Halcyon,Yes I had miss understood, ruffled my feathers there ! If ever we meet and I have my 944 Turbo with me you can have a drive after I have assessed your driving ability of course
:D
If you are not impressed with the old beast then you need to be driving a Nissan Micra :)
Zingari, the 964 epic and an absolute icon, but 6 figure value is nuts in my book, fair play to those that have them, my mate included, he loves it to bits and it his baby, tucked up in the corner of his garage on a trickle charger until
the good wether comes along, he is an air cooled pervert and is not that keen on the later cars.
But as said, whatever floats your boat !
I owned a crystal green 2.8i Capri at one time lovely thing, I have also had just about every fast fords you can think off, and yes if funds were available I would have one or two in my collection, but not at the prices currently playing asked.

£3,600 for a 1988 Nissan Micra!!

A truly uninspiring car, even then.

Ridiculous - but is it _that_ much more ridiculous than over £14k for an '87 Escort XR3i? [Especially given that a newer but less pampered example went for below a grand]

There is a 1.6 205 GTi for sale with 40k miles. Asking price £22k!!!!

Yes those, GTIs seemed the stand out bargains on the list.

I had a Capri 2.8i in blue/silver - not very good on roundabouts

Also had a Bedford CF van - 'Deluxe' sliding door edition. Cost £250 and hand brush painted by a chap who used to work for the council and managed to 'acquire' some paint from stores but 'Parks Green' was the only colour on offer

If that flatback is going for £10k wish I'd kept it :thumb:

I've just come back from Malta, they drive on the correct side of the road,
These are a list of cars I saw being used as a daily hack,

Split screen camper
Mk1 marina
Avenger
Cortinas, all of them
Capri mk1
Mk1 transits
Hundreds of escort vans
Old jags and rovers
Minis, real ones
Beetles
Plus many others
All pretty much RUST FREE
Unfortunately, I didn't have time to ascertain if they new the value of them over here :?:
