Fitting a low-temp thermostat to a 997

The exhaust bolts are an embarrassment (well, what's left of them!)

At the risk of thread drift..... I'd like to change the rusted stuff but am not sure if the nuts on the exhaust and the support brackets aren't captive? If I cut or wrench off what's left of the corroded bolts will I find that I'm left with a fixed and badly corroded nut? The only thing then will be to replace the bracket and that'll most likely mean taking the exhaust to bits. In that event I may as well get all that rusted stuff around the manifolds sorted and well....maybe that would be a good time to send the whole thing off to Hartech.

Don't know whether to :floor: or

They have probably corrosion "binded" (bound) to the brackets, but they are not captive.

Angle grind off and replace with SS variants.
