Can somebody confirm the part numbers for PFC08 pads?

Front:
7819.08.17.44
or
0991.08.17.44

Rear:
1299.08.18.44

I take it it's the 7819 for the front. Can you make the 0991 fit?

I am pretty sure they both fit the caliper OK (fronts) the difference is the depth as one is very slightly bigger than the other and the bigger one suits the larger gen 2 standard disc. I can't remember which is which though....i think the 0991 is the deeper pad, its the difference of about 3mm, one fits the Alcon disc better than the other, from memory i think its the 7819 that works with the alcon.

Rears are the 1299

Latest cat is here.

What pad is in there now?

RS29

When I finished the fronts that came with the Alcons (E8004) I just ordered the RS29 pads for my car which are 2707. Did not know that there is a difference in pad size!

So just noticed that backing plate is just by maybe 1mm to big and would touch the bell once the pad wears down.

The thing with the PFC pads is that the 0991 looks to be a bit larger which is good but not sure if it will fit.

I have alcons on my gen2 RS, currently rs29. There is a small 3mm gap on the bell side where the pad doesn't fit the whole disc area, its not a big deal IMHO. I think the PF 0991 is actually bigger but its "designed" for the stock factory disc where maybe the bell is a bit flatter. I doubt PF tested with an Alcon disc...are you going to let the pad get that low where it could touch the bell, probably not..

The pads are 10mm now and the backing plate is about to touch the bell....

Hmm. That's about a third worn ? You need the narrower pad i think. Give Nick a call at àœber 9's.

He'll probaly pipe up here in a while.

Correct. As mentioned above - the 2707 I have is wrong.

Will see about the PFC 0991....

8004 perhaps if the PF doesn't work

2707 is for the 996/997.1 6-pot. You need the 8004 pad.

It's OK to grind a few mm off the backing plate if required btw.

Nick - got the belt sander out and sorted it this morning.

Got confirmation from PFC. PFC08 0991.08.17.44 has the same dimensions as RS29 2707. So you can make it fit.

PFC08 7819.08.17.44 has quite a bit less pad surface.
