Hi,
I am viewing a low mile 2006 c2s tomorrow and all being well would like to get a ppi and boroscope inspection done.

This is at a dealer who seems to sell high end / exotic motors though are not a Porsche specialist.

Any recommendations for companies that can offer the above? And any indication on expected costs if anyone has had this done recently?

Also there's Porsche Torque in Uxbridge, they inspected my 997 recently and picked up on a few items that needed attending to. They took about an hour but that didn't include a borescooe.

Thanks both will give them both a look. Was the check at Porsche torque a pre purchase inspection and if so was this on their site or where you purchased the car?

The inspection at Porsche Torque wasn't pre-purchase, it was to coincide with my Porsche Warranty expiring in Jan, so wanted to get it checked over and issues addressed beforehand. It was done at their workshop.

Tognola is superb, but the waiting list is often long!

Sid at Porsxhe Torque is a good guy and he or Luigi will be very thorough. But the car needs to go to them in Uxbridge. 911Virgin use him a lot as does the OPC network and others.

Peter Morgan is mobile and also very systematic. Not sure if he's added borescopes now though? He's also likely hard to get this this time of year.

RSJ might also be worth a shout. Though if busy they may pass it to Sid. And again it'll mean taking the car to them / him.

Chris Turner in Neasden is terrific also. But likely to be very busy with air cooled stuff. And again you need to take the car there.

Finally JZM in Kings Langley do a very thorough service. But again it's got to be taken to them.

Good luck! :thumb:

Thanks all,

I spoke with Peter Morgan but he was booked and for boroscope would need to get it over to him.

Have just viewed the car and it will be off to the guys at Porsche torque for a ppi and boroscope. All being well there I will be the proud owner of a 997.1 s. Little bit sad to see my m3 go but this is the car I aspired to from childhood so very excited to get the checks done ASAP.
