Can anybody tell me at what RPM the yellow traingular upshift indicator comes on at. I understand this may be different values for different gears?

No,idea but v close to redline, I wouldn't bother relying on it though, its a tiny light, not very bright either..

Hi Windy, this may give you an idea, in 6th you'll see where my light comes on in relation to where the limiter kicks in. Also 3rd & 4th appear to light up at the same rpm.

Thanks for that. Watched the video back a few times and paused it. It looks like it comes on @ 8000 rpm in third and more than 8300 rpm in 6th.

When does the limiter kick in, 8400? Is there any danger of recording overrevs if you do not physically hit the limiter?

No risk with GT3 of recording a RR exceedance at RR1 starts recording at 9000rpm. Not possible to record bouncing off the limiter only via incorrect downshift i.e selecting 2nd rather than 4th

Thanks for that.

I think the lit said it is 8200 for the light all gears.

Have a look at the video and see what you think!

The video doesn't answer the question definitively as that is a modified RS and not like for like with the original question. I took a quick Google the other day and all that I could find in official documentation was that it was just below the 8400rpm red line (deliberately vague). I do recall hearing that it was lower in 1st and 2nd in the past but I couldn't find a source.

I've never noticed this shift indicator. I guess it means I'm not trying hard enough

We already know this Roro, you tart :wack:

Have you recovered from the shock of house purchase enough to come out to play next year? :?:

Lol!

Short answer no

Long answer... (Mindful of "this is not a test" from Porno Nick) -

Almost but not quite yet... New bathroom finished this week, kitchen in a month or so, then big garage / workshop on the books, but winter is getting in the way build-wise.... Just needed a lie down this morning after getting a quote in on the latter... Hope to at least do Spa couple of times next year though :thumb:
