I've been doing lots of reading on changing the diff oil on the Cayenne and still a little confused on which oil to use, I see Burmah SAF-AG4 quoted but not available outside of Porsche and Castrol only manufacturing SAF-AG4 for Oil and Gas industry. Others changing their oil report the old stuff as really thin, so searching I've found some specs for Castrol SAF-AG4.
Density 870 kg/m3 (0.87 g/cm3) at 20°C
Viscosity Kinematic: 116.5 mm2/s (116.5 cSt) at 40°C
Viscosity Kinematic: 17 mm2/s (17 cSt) at 100°C
The specs fit with the watery appearance, so I figure these oils fit the bill in no particular order:
Red Line 75w90 – 112 cSt at 40°C, 16.1 cSt at 100°C
Motul Gear 300 LS 75w90 – 109.6, 16.4
Mobil Delvac 75w90 – 120, 15.9
Would this be a reasonable summary, any others have experiences I could draw on?
