I can't find rear MPSS tyres anywhere
Anyone know what's going on? All the usual places have been out for a week or two now :dont know:

245/35/19 - Yep
305/30/19 - No

I do q fancy the Cup2's but swayed by the normal tread depth on the MPSS. (PS2's on at the moment)

Anyone any experience with Mytyres.co.uk ?

EDIT TO SAY:
I did try mytyres as the usual suspects were dry and my overall report is a positive one. ParcelFarce managed to send a tyre to Cambridge for 24hours but that came straight back. All tyres had come from Germany.

My first, brand new, full set of MPSS including 245 fronts fitted to my GT3

Already looking fwd to wearing them out :D

After an awesome blast down to Brighton over the weekend I can report back that these Michelin Pilot Super Sports are seriously lovely things.
Really nice and sticky and would 100% recommend them to the forum

Also enjoying the new 245 front section tyres and its added something (apart from the rubber )
You can really feel that little extra at turn in and enjoy the added confidence it exudes - it's 245's all the way for me now
I love the way any little alteration on the car can be felt

I should receive my faulty amp back later today:
My (non BOSE) system ASK amp didn't seem a very GT type Porsche part when I removed it and after closer inspection of the area it turned out to be the only part with a "made in Italy" sticker on it... I'm not saying any more.

The faulty amp has returned from its holiday in Norway

Just 150 odd days until we head to Spa :) I really can't wait

Friday 16th October with Circuit Days day, if anyone fancies it. I'll be there for the two nights either side with a friend so beers if anyone fancies joining just shout

I don't think I'll be able to achieve 30mpg though as I head in to Europe like some lucky members of this forum have seemed to!!

Hard to look it up "roof rack clip thingy" - anyone have any idea what this part would be called? The tiny plastic clip in the roof rack slot thing has snapped which lets it fall down a little and I need it 100% flush.
I'll just pop into Porsche and ask I guess

Last Friday my GT3 got to do what a GT3 does best: drive into Europe, smash the Spa-Francorchamps sliding round corners on four wheels before taking us out for dinner and driving us home again – what a car

The Spa racetrack is amazing fun - its not for the fainthearted - but I'd recommend it to anyone who's enjoyed a good few previous trackdays. It gave me such a high I never wanted to return from

Nick in NXI20 his 996 GT3 3.8 invited me for a passenger ride to learn the lines and what a car that is.. I'm in love with his cars suspension... just proves how you can turn these amazing cars up even further with knowledge and funds - a truly amazing machine - this slope is going to get even more slippery I fear.. :wack:

A few pics from our most amazing trackday yet

Glad you enjoyed Spa Freddie. It's a very special place & never, ever, gets boring.

The best way of thinking of the GT3 is as a very well developed platform that lends itself to being molded into the owner's ideal track car. Don't listen to those who think the product that Porsche delivers cannot be improved upon; those people simply don't "get" the GT3.

As you say, it takes knowledge (there are well known experts out there to assist in this) and a not inconsiderable amount of money, but at least half the fun is the journey getting there and as you felt in mine, the end product is very rewarding to drive.

Here's to the next one :thumb:

Thanks Nick, I think.

I'm very much looking forward to the adventure :thumb: See you soon

Sure beats talking about values!

First track day of the year enjoyed at a very friendly Lotus Club day at Goodwood. Watch the pheasants! (and obviosuly black flag marshals)

Freddie

Only used Circuit days once at SPA and never again! Like the M25....
