Ted isn't such a popular name anymore, so GT04 TED could be a bargain for a GT4 owner named Ted.
I'd imagine the price of GT04 GAY reflects the demand for such a plate . Would you want to give local yobs more excuses to damage your pride and joy.

Wouldn't GTO4 SPY attract interest from some 'authorities' and result in you drinking radioactive tea though? _________________ 2006 Cayman S PCCB's

I think 911 UK was worried in case said spy foiled his plans for World Domination!

I thought "Gayman" was the model's affectionate nickname

Still 'aving a 'giraffe' - it's a bog standard numberplate - even with a strange amount of imagination it's still waaaaay too expensive.
In anybodies book a 50% reduction off the bat indicates the original price was a chancer _________________ 2006 Cayman S PCCB's

Plenty of 'bog standard number plates have gone for much more - HU11 CTY went for £46,736.
The price of many aircooled 911 seem OTT, but they sell.
Personally I think it's a fair price when you look at other plates!

Yes, I agree with our new forum member, look:
previous record for a UK plate, K1NGS, which was sold for £231,000 way back in 1993
And that was a standard plate too

Private plates are a personal thing. What appeals to one person doesn't appeal to the next.
Plenty of GT03... plates on GT3's, so why not a GT04... plate on a GT4 or ...SPY plate on a Spyder.
A plate like a car is only worth what someone is willing to pay, which is why I reduced the asking price as I felt I'd priced it too high.
P.S. I'm not new I joined 4th Sept 2005, I just haven't been an active on 911UK!

And therein lies the crux of the problem. I doubt many if any would think your plate worth more than a couple of hundred quid. IMO 2 bags is a ridiculous price and your opening of 4 just insulting.
GLWS but you'll not see 4 figures for it on here, if indeed anywhere...

The plate on my car was 250 quid from DVLA and TBH I think that is more than enough.

I didn't expect to sell it straight away. Those who've been lucky enough to be allocated a new 981 GT4 or Spyder are still spec'ing and waiting for their cars.

Just to a some comparison on GT4 plates. The DVLA plates start from £250, but those which have a meaning, word, name etc are priced higher by the DVLA (see examples below).
