It's time for the 991 Generation Facelift but what of the interior I hear you ask...

Well not much to be honest, the elegant and fashionable 918 Style steering wheel finally makes it to the 911, after already appearing in the Macan, Cayenne and Panamera.

the only other major change is the all new 4th Generation PCM (Porsche Communication Managament) system called PCM4 that will feature a slighter larger touch screen....

Except the facelift to be launched later this year :thumb:

Looks good, I like the new wheel, certainly an improvement on the old multi-function wheel.

Is it my eyes, or have the updated the PDK so that it's push for down, and pull for up? Seems more intuitive to me, so can only be a good thing.

I'm going to assume that you can now have a multi-function, paddle-shift, heated steering wheel? Lovely! :thumb:

Compared to my 2014 car, the "+" and "-" on the PDK surround have indeed swapped positions.

Thumbs for the steering wheel, PCM update and getting the gears the right way round, but I wonder if the selector scripting (P R N D) are correctly aligned this time... :?:

Confirmed base on this closer view

Anyone know if the wheel will be a retrofit option?

If I was to make a guess (which I am), I would say yes 'IF' you already have a MF wheel. The wiring needed to add a MF wheel is quite expensive so I would (again guess) that if you haven't already got MF I think the cost would be prohibited...

My OPC thinks that a retrofit option is likely to be available after the 991.2 is launched, subject to the MF wiring already being in place in your 991.1.

Based on Macan prices, he is indicating approx £1200 for the wheel and £600 for the airbag.

At that price I'd order a new car instead!
