Oi! Back of the queue, you've already got one :wack:

I'm still smarting after Richyd forgot to give me his old one

Oh. Ok.

Nick - can I have the new one instead?

Well done Nick, fantastic car, I don't think there will be many that have managed to bag one. Is there any news on the numbers that will be produced? UK and worldwide?

This pic is interesting, vents are the other way around to earlier GT3's

Guess the cooling air comes from the turbo-aping holes in the flanks so these will assist removal of the hot air from the bay...

Probably using Bernoulli's principle to draw out the hot air with the airflow over the rear wing.
My guess is that the conventional engine lid design on previous gen's, wasn't as effective as the rear wing seems to be higher on this 991RS, probably bringing the transition point further forward on the rear screen so laminar airflow is reduced by the engine intake. Also the Side scoops also provide a fair bit of cold ram air to overcome any air-intake issues.

I think it's air in at the sides and out on the top. Either that or it's a sub woofer..

Well done nick, congrats. That was quick

Thanks fellas for all the kind comments...it's been one hell of a day !.
The Porsche configurator was up after the press conference and rather
frustratingly it's not up anymore...it's probably crashed.

Apart from their 918 customers taking up 'their option' to buy the new car,
there were 28 other hopefuls...and luckily for me I got the nod, probably
because they know that I'm a certifiable lunatic.
I do need to configure the car reasonably quickly, and that'll be a load of
fun. I remember well, taking two weeks to sort out the spec on my 997
GT3 gen2...that cost me four extra months waiting time.

Delivery dates...they don't have a clue, but I feel it unlikely that i'll
get to see it till the early Autumn...just hope that it'll be late summer...

:thumb:

I really am buzzing, as that was some wait.

Heard a rumour that there is serious interest and big money above list being discussed already........
