I don't know what it is but my Ford days are well and truly over, I never got over being rear ended on the M62 in a 4 week old XR3 Turbo which was my dream car at the time (I was 20).

I'm definitely getting old

Won't sound anywhere near as good as the last one.

It's amazing what a bit of editing can do....No need to take it out on Ford's

Back on topic, saw this on the Escos forum, thought they are just going for Evo and Subaru customers with 4x4 and 4 door.

Looks like a Max Power standard Focus.

Hell of a machine for £30k

You mean Escort RS Turbo? I loved them!

:worship:

Yes, dream car, cost me more in Insurance than any other car I've driven even to this day

I actually sat in one at a small car show last summer.........and my memories where shattered, the wheels were tiny, stance all wrong and the interior :eh!:

Ah well, good times but I chopped it for a Nissan within a year, it was never the same after the repair.

'RS' Turbo Jon ;-)

It was a long time ago and I had an XR3i before it, I'm definately getting old  .........maybe it was an XR3 with a halfords turbo badge on it

Anyway, not read the spec of the new one but if the comment re 4 wheels drive is correct that makes sense, the torque steer with much less power was bad enough

The new Ford Focus RS - stolen from a driveway near you soon.................................................... :D

Sounds like a bit of a steal *cough* at £30k until you remember the golf R is a similar price and is light years ahead in fit and finish - throw the much anticipated 400R into the mix and it's hard to see how ford can make much headway in this competitive segment...

I'll take one in green

You'll have to stick to the MK2 FRS then:

Buyers will get just four choices of colours, called Nitrous Blue, Stealth Grey, Absolute Black or Frozen White. The launch car pictured here is painted in what Ford calls Liquid Blue, which is 'currently only a show colour", suggesting that it may become available as a cost option.

I think the styling is an improvement on the last one which looked like it had been to Halfords and had every chav accessory attached. This one is more toned down.

And at last it's back to AWD! Last production hot Ford to have it was the a Escort Cosworth.

Hate the wheels on the new car though.
