...... a Porsche 356 90B (red) that my BIL bought back in 1967..... reg 999 ECD ....... I know it is taxed and still on the road ....... the forum here is pretty dead concerning older model Porsches ....... can anyone point me in the best direction to find out more info on this car.

Thanks.

Andy, have you tried the Porsche356registry.org ?

Did you leave your wallet in it :dont know: DDK forum might assist?

This might be the one time I can see a use for the platewave website. I googled the reg number and there's a photo up there. Maybe you could register and ask the guy who took the pic where it was?

If you know the rough area it is then you could try approach a local specialist. Chris Turner in Willesden may know of the car maybe?

Thanks for the replies .......

Yes I have seen a pic of the car from somewhere ...... it looked like a Porsche meet ....... and I am pretty sure it is owned by an enthusiast ....... I am trying to find out as much info for my Brother in law.

I remember when he first got it ....... he took me for a wee blast down the Great West Road.

He bought it in 1967 so at the time it was only a few years old but had to sell it when the first child was on the way ....... children can spoil so much fun ...... ;)

Thanks Rob I will pass that on ....... it's not the pic I have seen.

Of course thinking about it the car could well been quite cheap when he purchased it ...... it was first registered 1st April 1963 and by the time he bought it the new 911 was off and running ...... I forgot to ask him how much he paid for it.

There is one coming up for sale at the Coys auction soon.

Finding nemo

I have had the same sort of problem

I built a Chesil Speedster and had to sell it in 2008 due to shtuff hitting the fan.

There is a DVLC form you can send off with £5.00 and get the required info..

(It didn't work for me due to the whole thing of not q plating and registering properly)

I'm still looking so I can get my baby back :frustrated:
