I really like the BMW E92 M3. Its such a great package, I have been looking for something a little more interesting. Prices have been a bit eye watering of late and have seen a price hike.

So here it is, probably the worst colour to maintain ever :thumb:

Beasty, so what sets this one out?!

All Murdered out.

Love e92's. :thumb:

Ok that's pretty special from the write up! Colour is insane in fairness.

Says hand wash only?! Didn't know there was any other manner in which to wash a car!

Looks lovely in the frozen black - great choice

Grey looks nice too, not sure sure about the Portimao though

Yeah , like that , I have a hankering for an M3 myself .....

That's The dogs danglies...

Thanks guys, I know the frozen finishes are not for everyone, but I like it and it's nice to see some others do as well.

It looks so much better in the metal, it really shows off all the lumps and bumps, as all it reflects is light.

You do get a lot of 'nice wrap" or 'where's Robin" or that's Mad Max's car!

If you are into the V8 M3 you will know that the Rod bearing are important preventative maintenance. Failure of these is fairly common and chances are you will need a new engine if they do fail.

I had mine done, cost £1500 and although you want the Specialist to say, they needed doing, its disappointing when he says the old ones are the best he has seen and he could have put them back in !!

Piece of mind though and it now has the uprated Bearings and Bolts so future proofed it !

I wonder if the bearing wear is caused by people ragging them from cold, low oil level etc.

That yours are in good shape is probably testament to it being a well looked after car by the previous owners.

Indeed mate, it is being driven hard when not properly warmed up that causes the problem. The tolerances are so low that when the oil is not up to temp and is thick it does not fill the void thoroughly and allows the bearings to touch the crank at high revs, over time this wears the bearings.

I am lucky in the fact its been a well loved and looked after car, but not knowing the previous owners, you will never really know until you have had them done :thumb:

Nice stance and great looking M3. I have an E46 M3 but quite fancy an E92 M3 at some stage.

Thanks, they really are nice, I prefer them to the E46, you should give one a go :thumb:
