My pal mentioned to me that he wanted a cable throttle 996, he's never driven any 996! I stripped my throttle pedal down when I first bought it as it squeaked a bit, nobody mentions that it has a short cable that goes up to the sensor!

and it also has a throttle cable that goes under the floor all the way to the throttle body…

I always wanted the 996. Now I have got one.
The press is more enthusiastic than reality.
I was after a raw driving experience and I don’t really find my 3.4 manual cable throttle raw at all. The car is very refined, comfortable, probably too soft for a raw experience. Too heavy as well. I see why it was a massive Worldwide success. More of hairdresser car than a sports car .
