Brake Vacuum Tunnel Tube Repair Help

Good afternoon everyone,

I am hoping that you will be able to help me with a problem that I have encountered. My 1989 3.2 Carrera seems to have a vacuum hose directly from the engine to the brake servo which somebody ran under the left hand side of the car.
When I investigated this further I understood why this was done. The right angled elbow that exits the rear of the tunnel (please see example photos) and is connected to the rubber hose that take vacuum from the engine has broken off. So the under car hose was run to obtain vacuum for the servo rather than using the tube in the tunnel.

Has anyone encountered this? and what did you do to fix the issue?
