Another speaker upgrade option

Just fitted some pioneer 4" Speakers to my car. £20 a pair, they sound a bit punchier on the bass and there's definitely more clarity than the original speakers.

Very easy to fit, just cut the existing speaker apart with the Dremel to make a mounting ring. Mount this back on the Porsche grille, align the new speaker on the back of this, a few pilot holes and self tapping screws later and it's on. Make sure the tabs on the; new speakers are cut close enough to match the profile of the existing mounting ring, or they won't fit back into the car.

Coupled with some VW speaker adapter leads it all came in at under £45.

For £20 that looks like a very worthwhile upgrade! Got to be better than the cardboard standard stuff even when it was new. I'll be getting some of these I think. Thanks for the tip.

Probably a stupid question but these are rear speakers right?

If so I am going to get some as mine distort like hell

If it helps guys I can provide an adapter to convert the Porsche grill to accept any 4" speaker on the rear of the coupe. No cutting or anything, simply screw in the original screws holes. They are £25 a pair.

They're the speakers for the dash and the rear quarter panels. Two front two rear if you've got the basic speaker package.
