A brief overview of the car's history:
Registered Jersey Porsche 1994
First 6000 mile service was at Porsche Cumbria
Full UK dealer PSH until 2001
Then various specialists, JZM, GT One, Tognola, RPM Technik, Tuthills - two books of service stamps.
The spec is as follows and all conversion work below has all been carried out under my ownership within the last 2000 miles. Can't write the cost down because not only will it make me question my sanity but my wife is familiar with the internet.
1994 3.6 non vario
Carbon heater bypass + relay mod
RS M003 bodywork by Tuthills 2016
Rear weld in cage (Tuthills) + glass out / engine out paint 2016
LMS carbon bonnet
All soundproofing removed
Removed engine pad
RS rear lightweight glass
Lightweight door cards
Reconfigured and simplified dash
Airbags removed and wiring stripped out
No carpet painted interior finish
Full ‘motorsport’ spec stripped and lightened central wiring loom run in transmission tunnel with ECUs etc relocated to passenger footwell for clean interior. Quick release multiplugs at each end.
Momo dished wheel
Sparco FIA seats and full 6 point harness (Tuthills)
Full RS suspension:
Evo tie rods
RS front hubs (to allow lower ride height without bumpsteer)
Rennline camber plates
Front strut brace
Rennline / Tarret control arms all round
Fully polybushed suspension
Solid rear subframe mounts with ‘Evo’ corrected geometry to match the RS hubs on the front.
Rothsport billet shortshift (imported from USA)
Goldenrod gear linkage upgrade
Goes very well and gets lots (too much in some cases) of attention. I have an A4 ring binder with all the history - and bills!
A well sorted car for regular guilt free use. Yes it has stonechips. As you can imagine is fairly no-nonsense and focused to drive. Geometry is all set to RS spec and there is no slop in the car whatsoever - it's still set up to be compliant for road use. Been a pleasure to build but I fancy a new project after 5 years of ownership.
Just been serviced at Tuthills (July 2017). Please get in touch if you would like to discuss the car further. Thanks.
